Noise Pop Festival on YouTube
March 1st, 2009 | Published in Youtube
The 17th annual Noise Pop music festival, a celebration of independent music, film and art, is currently rumbling through San Francisco. Highlights so far? A show-stopping opening night performance from Antony & the Johnsons, a solo gig from ex-Pavement frontman Stephen Malkmus, and New Zealand's indie rock upstarts, Cut Off Your Hands.
If you don't have a laminated pass to the Bay Area event, YouTube has teamed up with Noise Pop and Wolfgang's Vault to give you a virtual one: we've got full-length performances from Deerhunter, Syracuse, NY, indie act Ra Ra Riot as well as footage from a 2008 show with Port O'Brien. Now we love live music, but this certainly beats the crowds and being stuck behind the tall dude in the front row.
Enjoy,
