In Honor of Veterans Day

In honor of Veterans' Day, we're highlighting this really cool clip from the film Speed and Angels in which director Peyton Wilson takes you into the exhilarating world of U.S. Navy fighter pilots. Children often dream big about what they want to do when they grow up. The movie follows two young naval officers fighting to pursue their dream of becoming fighter pilots - and then fighting to stay alive as they deploy to Iraq.
On a related note, did you know that what we call Veterans' Day was originally called "Armistice Day" - because it's the anniversary of the agreement ending World War I? All of the major hostilities of that conflict were formally ended at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month in 1918 when the Germans signed an armistice. (See, the Google Video Blog can be educational as well as entertaining.)
