As part of our commitment to hire and develop top talent, Google has created the Online Media Associate Programme for recent and experienced university graduates. Aarhus engineers are part of a specialist team which:
- Works on programming language implementation and ‘garbage collection.’
- Designs, develops and implements virtual machines.

- Design and implement advanced algorithms that improve Google's search technology on the web and on other platforms.
- Optimize Google's technologies based on real data using statistical experiments and data mining techniques.
- Experiment with exciting and innovative search interfaces, and improve Google's user search experience.
- Build Web front-end systems and new cool features for Google's products (like Gmail and Google Trends) using cutting edge technologies and infrastructure. Web UI development with Javascript/AJAX , Work with Google's renowned distributed infrastructure technologies (MapReduce, BigTable, GFS) to build new pieces of infrastructure for Google's search engine and applications.
- Expand the networking infrastructure that interconnects Google's data centers around the world. Build internal systems that are used by thousands of Googlers.
