OpenSocial Summit Wrap-up
May 22nd, 2008 | Published in Google OpenSocial
Thanks again to everyone who came out for last week's OpenSocial Summit. For those that were not able to make it, we covered a variety of topics in depth, including a discussion around the proposed v0.8 draft spec, which includes a RESTful API, as well as a proposal for an OpenSocial templating language. It was great to hear feedback from everyone, and we heard about some great progress updates from a few OpenSocial containers who all recently launched a developer sandbox which includes OpenSocial (links go to the sandboxes):
- Hyves - 6.5 million unique users primarily in the Netherlands
- imeem - 24 million unique users each month on imeem.com
- Netlog - 34 million unique members across Europe
In addition, we've pulled together a full recap from the summit, which has links to presentations, some videos, and notes from the sessions.
We look forward to talking with more folks next week at Google I/O.
