OpenSocial in China!
June 12th, 2008 | Published in Google OpenSocial
Wow -- Google Developer Day in Beijing has kicked off with a bang for OpenSocial! We're really excited to welcome several new networks to the OpenSocial community: 51.com, 51wan.com, Douban.com, Hainei.com, Tianji.com, Xiaonei.com, and YiQi.com. These sites are working on supporting OpenSocial and expect to rollout in the coming months. This is great momentum for OpenSocial in China, and those sites join some others that have already launched in China, including MySpace.cn and Tianya.cn, as well as CityIN.com, which has shipped a sandbox for developers.
As another great update, the OpenSocial documentation is now available in Chinese. We're eager to help grow the community and are running an OpenSocial hackathon in Beijing on June 13, 2008 to go deep on the technology.
As always, you're welcome to get involved online (in Chinese).
(If you have questions and prefer English, of course, you're welcome to visit this OpenSocial group.)
