iGoogle sandbox launches with OpenSocial support
April 21st, 2008 | Published in Google OpenSocial
Fellow OpenSocial developers, I'm happy to announce the opening of the iGoogle developer sandbox, which supports both OpenSocial and an updated version of the gadgets API.
The iGoogle sandbox supports OpenSocial 0.7, including friends and activity streams as well as a home and canvas view of your gadgets. Later, iGoogle will support the requestSendMessage function to facilitate growth of your gadget.
OpenSocial developers who modify their gadgets for iGoogle will be able to reach tens of millions of additional users at launch.
For more information about the new sandbox and to sign-up, make sure to check out the getting started guide. If you have questions, comments, or suggestions, join the discussion in the iGoogle Developer Forum.
