Is it scrolling, Bob?

When we were working on last November's redesign, we'd often have to put together mocks and demos to send around or use in presentations. Different team members would choose different favorite odd books they had found to use in their work, but I developed a reputation for always using Bob Dylan's Chronicles, Volume One.
Dylan appreciation is nothing new in Silicon Valley — Steve Jobs recited the second verse of The Times They Are A-Changin' to open Apple's 1984 Annual Shareholders meeting (the one in which he introduced the Macintosh).
Before its publication, literary types were unsure of what to expect from an autobiography from such a reclusive and enigmatic figure, but Chronicles was warmly recieved upon its release in 2004, cracking a completely different bestseller list (debuting at number three). We'd like to highlight that book and other works by and about Bob Dylan today, his 66th birthday. We're eagerly looking forward to indexing Chronicles volumes two and three.
And, as a treat, check out Google Video's collection of footage released with last year's Grammy-winning album, Modern Times — particularly the live performance of Isis from the Rolling Thunder Revue.
