Hi Jessica,

I noticed you work on the Google Grant's project. I could not find answers online or via phoning Toronto and Waterloo offices as it is all automated.

For the Canadian Application, the first question is" My organization is both registered under the Canada Income Tax Act, able to issue charitable receipts to donors, exempt from income tax and accrues no more than 50% earned annual revenue."

Is there was a middle ground for qualifying Canadian Organisations? we are a non-profit organization incorporated without share capital. For tax purposes, we are a designated non profit organization that is exempt from tax under section 149 (1) (l) of the Income Tax Act. Our organization is currently funding by the Canadian Federal Government (Health Canada).

Under your current criteria we do not qualify. Will Google Grants be opening up to other non-profits such as ours?

I know this blog post is old, but your new blog does not allow for commenting for me to ask a question. I hope you receive a notice about this :-)

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Thanks,
