Earlier this week, you may have read that hi5 is holding a hackathon on Saturday. It turns out that this hackathon is actually going to happen in two countries! While some of us are busy writing code and eating pizza at the Googleplex in Mountain View, CA, our friends in Mexico will be hacking away and socializing at the Campus Estado de Mexico of the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey. We're excited to share ideas, make new friends both here and abroad, and, of course, build some great apps.
hi5's March 31st launch is just a few short weeks away, and their sandbox offers a great opportunity to spin up an app. We can't wait to see how new social apps will help users all over the world get connected and have fun on the web.
To join in on the festivities, if you're in Mexico, click here for more information. Those planning to join us in Mountain View can RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org.
